Product Description
Product Overview

This Spiral High Speed Door is specified for temperature-controlled gateways. Its door leaf is an aluminum panel filled with polyurethane foam: 43 mm thick, 0.7 mm aluminum skin on both faces, PU core at about 45 kg/m³. The foam core interrupts the thermal bridge across the opening, so the door slows heat exchange between two zones far better than a thin soft PVC curtain, while the aluminum skin keeps the panel rigid, flat and sealed.

For cold stores, chiller antechambers, drying rooms and air-conditioned production areas, the combination of a fast cycle and an insulated rigid panel is the practical way to hold temperature without slowing traffic.

How the Insulated Panel Reduces Heat Exchange
  • Foam core — PU foam has low thermal conductivity, roughly 0.022 W/(m·K), and fills the full panel thickness without gaps.
  • Double skin — aluminum faces conduct little heat compared with a steel sheet and reflect radiant load.
  • Sealed perimeter — brush seals at both rails plus a bottom safety edge cut the air leakage path that dominates heat loss in doorways.
  • Short open time — a fast cycle limits the window during which warm and cold air can mix.
  • Anti-condensation face — the insulated panel keeps the warm-side surface closer to room temperature, reducing dripping and ice build-up at the frame.
Indicative Thermal Performance
Parameter 40 mm panel 43 mm panel
PU core density Approx. 45 kg/m³ Approx. 45 kg/m³
Thermal conductivity (foam) About 0.022 W/(m·K) About 0.022 W/(m·K)
Indicative U-value About 0.55 W/(m²·K) About 0.51 W/(m²·K)
Recommended use General industrial separation Cold storage and chilled zones
Sound reduction About 22 dB About 24–26 dB

Values are indicative for the panel assembly and depend on frame sealing, opening size and site conditions.

Where the Savings Come From
  • Less refrigeration load — a smaller heat gain per opening means less compressor work on the cold side.
  • Stable zone temperature — product quality stays consistent in chilled and frozen storage.
  • Fewer defrost cycles — less moisture entry means less frost on evaporators.
  • Worker comfort — draughts at the doorway are reduced on the warm side.
  • Rigid panel life — the aluminum foam sandwich keeps its shape, so seals keep sealing over years of cycling.

Ordering Process
  1. Tell us both zone temperatures, opening size and traffic frequency.
  2. We recommend panel thickness and sealing package for the temperature difference.
  3. Drawing approval, then 30% T/T deposit and balance before shipment.
  4. Production 15–25 working days, sea freight in plywood cases.
  5. Remote commissioning support and spare parts service during warranty.
Payment and Delivery

Payment term is T/T (telegraphic transfer). A 30% deposit confirms the order and the balance is settled before shipment. Price is quoted per project according to opening size and insulation requirement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which panel thickness should a cold store use?

43 mm is the usual choice for chilled and frozen zones; 40 mm suits general industrial separation between areas with a smaller temperature difference.

Will the panel stop condensation completely?

The insulated panel greatly reduces condensation on the warm-side face and at the frame; combined with brush seals and a fast cycle, dripping and ice build-up are minimised.

Does insulation slow the door down?

No. The rigid insulated panel runs at 1.0–1.5 m/s opening speed on the servo drive.

How is the panel kept sealed at the floor?

An insulated flap on the bottom safety edge closes the gap and reverses the door if it meets an obstruction.

What power supply is needed?

220 V single phase, 50/60 Hz, with integrated servo control.
